Our upcoming Home Show Expo, currently scheduled for April 3-4 at the Hilton Garden Inn, Champaign has been cancelled. We are however, looking into a possible rescheduling of this event and would like your input as supporters of this event. Please click HERE to answer TWO quick questions about the possible involvement of your business, should we be able to move forward in securing a venue and applicable date.

Due to Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzner issuing a stay-at-home order in effect Saturday, March 21 at 5p and as of now, set to expire April 7, 2020, all in person networking events (Coffee with HBAECI) have been cancelled until further notice. HBAECI Board Meetings will be held via conference call until further notice and any HBAECI Committee Meetings will be rescheduled or held via conference call until further notice as well.

• Village of Mahomet: https://mahomet.govoffice.com  Additional Message from Ken Buchanan, Building Inspector and Code Enforcement Officer: "We are still conducting Inspections at this time and do not anticipate a closure of the Village of Mahomet. I have been reassured by our Administrator that we do not intend to close unless there is a State or Federal mandate to do so. We are practicing the social distancing as everyone has been advised to do. We are of course communicating and interacting as much as possible over electronic sources and have found that it is working well at this point. This is of course subject to change and will try to keep you informed."

• Village of Savoy: https://www.savoy.illinois.gov  Additional message from Levi Kopmann, Acting Village Manager, Village of Savoy: "At this point we are still providing inspection services for homebuilders.  We do, however, understand that personnel may not be available in the future due to illness or increased risk.  Our plan is to continue operating “normally” as long as we have willing and able resources."
