Tell us a little about Natalie Gross. Where did you grow up, family, education, professional career, etc.
I was born and raised in Champaign/Urbana and attended the U of I. I graduated in advertising and spent several years working in TV advertising sales. While there, I got my Real Estate license and began working part-time for Keller Williams. Residential Real Estate took a backseat for a few years while I worked as the Director of Marketing and Sales for a Private Certified Housing facility on the U of I campus and then for Fox Development Corporation. I left FDC in January of 2014 to pursue residential Real Estate in a full-time capacity. I joined the C-U Real Estate Team, with Bill Utnage and Becky & Dale Crane.
You are now a member of the CU Real Estate team. Tell us a little about why you enjoy the real estate business, your work with Bill Utnage, etc.
I really enjoy the fast-paced nature of the business. It's very rewarding to help people find the perfect home and be a part of such a big life decision. What I like most is that our team works by referral-- we build our business by serving the friends, family, and co-workers of our past clients. Also, I couldn't ask for better teammates and mentors. Bill and Becky are amazing leaders.
How long have you been an HBAECI member, what do you consider some of the benefits of being an HBAECI member, and why would you encourage others to consider joining HBAECI?
I became an HBAECI member a few years ago when I was working at Fox Development. Terry and I had worked together planning several events at the IHotel. Being a part of HBAECI is a great opportunity to network with others in similar fields. There is an awesome sense of community among the members-- we are all striving to make East Central Illinois a better place to live. You can feel camaraderie when we are all working together to plan events like "Dare to Dream", the Showcase of Homes, or the golf outing. It's a great organization and there are numerous ways to get involved!
